Early 1960s Fiesta Red rhodes Piano Bass

These keyboards are rare so I was delighted to take in this example from Soundgas. It was intrinsically in ok condition but had suffered from damp storage, and was very out of adjustment, needing new keypins, key bushings, damper felts, hammer cam felts and new adjustment screws for each tone generator as when stored badly the originals seize. I had to drill a couple out and then clean the threads. I managed to source to correct imperial screw size. Another mod that worked well was to fit metal thread inserts into the wooden mounts for the tone generator assemblies as the original machine screws are screwed directly into the wood and with repeat use over the year lose their grip.
